At Sonney's Photography,
we want to provide you with great portraits and the best experience when
you're here for your senior portraits. We provide many different
session choices for you to choose
from.
You will leave with your proof book the same day you're photographed! Same day proofs!
Approximate wait time is 20 minutes. If you don't have time to wait, you can pick them up later or
have them mailed to your home.
Before your portrait
session:
-
Check
to be sure your outfits are clean and free of wrinkles and put them in a
garment bag.
-
Do
your nails (clear or neutral colors work best)
-
Guys,
be sure to shave the night before.
-
Limit
exposure to the sun a few days before your photo session to avoid
sunburns or tan lines.
-
Avoid
getting a new hairstyle or cut right before your session.
-
Select
a familiar style you know looks good.
What
you should bring to your portrait session:
-
A few
extra outfits (although you may not wear every outfit, it's always good
to have several available)
-
A mix
of casual
and formal clothes. We suggest wearing your yearbook
outfit. You will have your own dressing room to put your
belongings and check hair & make-up.
-
CD's
or MP3 player to play YOUR music on our sound system during the session.
-
Matching shoes (for full-length poses)
-
Instruments,
sports equipment, letter jackets, uniforms, pets
and any other props that show who you are.
-
Make-up, hair supplies, and accessories.
-
Friends and parents (to help you and even join in for a few poses if you
want)
-
Session fee. Check, money
order, personal check, Visa, MasterCard or Discover.
-
If you wear
glasses, keep in mind that because of their reflection and magnifying
characteristics, they can distort the eyes of the subject. Glasses that
darken in brighter light also pose a problem. An easy way to solve this
problem is either not to wear them or ask your optician loan you a
similar frame, but without lenses.
Portrait Session Time:
-
In case of rain, keep your
appointment. We'll still take your indoor poses and reschedule
your outdoor poses.
-
Be
sure to arrive at least 10-15 minutes before your appointment time to
complete paperwork and get settled in.
-
After
you’ve checked in, get ready to experience a portrait session that is
ALL ABOUT YOU. Your will have
the complete attention of your photographer. We will suggest
some posing and background ideas, but don’t hesitate to ask questions or
tell us what YOU have in mind . We want you to have a great
experience and make lasting memories of your senior year.
-
Some
poses may feel a little awkward but our
experienced professional photographers know what will look
great in your finished portrait.
-
We will take approximately 6
poses per outfit.
-
Depending on the session you've selected, expect to spend an between 30
minutes to 2 hours at Sonney's Photography.
-
Most
importantly, relax and HAVE FUN
!
After your portrait
session:
-
Before you leave
your portrait session, you will receive your proof book, price list
and ordering instructions.
-
If you are unable to wait for 15-20
minutes after your session to receive your proofs, they can be picked up
at a later date or mailed to you.
-
You will need to select the pose that
you want to appear in your yearbook. We'll take care of sending your choice to
the school. You won't have to do anything else!
-
Be aware that your
proofs will not be cropped or retouched. Your finished portrait order
will be retouched to eliminate blemishes and soften
lines.
