At Sonney's Photography, we want to provide you with great portraits and the best experience when you are here for your session.

You will leave with your proof book the same day you are photographed!  Approximate wait time is 20 minutes.  If you don't have time to wait, you can pick them up later or have them mailed to your home.

Preparing for your portrait session:

Sun - Stay out of it for a week before your appointment

Music - Bring your MP3, iPod or CD's to listen to on our sound system

Props - Sports gear, uniform, musical instruments, artwork, balloons, letterman jacket, class ring, hat & sunglasses

Outdoor Area - Car, truck, motorcycle, ATV, skateboard, snowboard, horse
Lots of room to trailer and turn around

Prepare to be a "quick change artist" between outfits to allow more time for your session

Get lots of sleep the night before and be prepared to have a good time!

Pets & Friends - No extra charge

A few extra outfits - although you may not wear every outfit, it's always good to have several available

A mix of casual and formal clothes-  We suggest wearing your yearbook outfit.  You will have your own dressing room to put your belongings in and check         hair & make-up.

Matching shoes - for full-length poses

Make-up, hair supplies, and accessories

Friends and parents - to help you and even join in for a few poses if you want

Session fee - Check, money order, personal check, Visa, MasterCard or Discover

If you wear glasses, keep in mind that because of their reflection and magnifying characteristics, they can distort the eyes of the subject. Glasses that darken in brighter light also pose a problem. An easy way to solve this problem is either not to wear them or ask your optician loan you a similar frame, but without lenses.

Portrait Session Time:

In case of rain, keep your appointment.  We'll still take your indoor poses and reschedule your outdoor poses.

Be sure to arrive at least 10-15 minutes before your appointment time to complete paperwork and get settled in.

After you’ve checked in, get ready to experience a portrait session that is ALL ABOUT YOU.  You will have the complete attention of your photographer.   We will suggest some posing and background ideas, but don’t hesitate to ask questions or tell us what YOU have in mind . We want you to have a great experience and make lasting memories of your senior year.

Some poses may feel a little awkward but our experienced professional photographers know what will look great in your finished portrait.

Most importantly, relax and HAVE FUN !

After your portrait session:

Before you leave your portrait session, you will receive your proof book, price list and ordering instructions.

If you are unable to wait for 15-20 minutes after your session to receive your proofs, they can be picked up at a later date or mailed to you.

You will need to select the pose that you want to appear in your yearbook. We'll take care of sending your choice to the school.  You won't have to do anything else!

Be aware that your proofs will not be cropped or retouched. Your finished portrait order will be retouched to eliminate blemishes and soften lines.
